Nostalgic friendship day

So today is the friendship day..

Happy friendship day to all.

Do you celebrate it? I don’t, but I used to.

I believe that it’s all a matter of choice if you want to celebrate or not. It’s a day to express how grateful and delighted you are to have friends like them in your life, in other words, it’s a day to appreciate your friends…๐Ÿ’•

I remember when I was a kid, I used to buy a bunch of friendship bands for my friends and we all use to exchange them after our tuition classes and it was like an event. Then, the next day, we used to show off the counts of bands we got.

We used to think the number of bands equals the number of friends we have, so it was like an achievement it back then…๐Ÿ˜‚

Only two days were important to me… First, the friendship day and second, my birthday. I used to wait for the whole year ( for the birthday I still do ๐Ÿ˜› ).

I kept all those bands safely in a box like a possession… I still have that box. And looking at that makes me feel like it was a thing of yesterday when we all used to buy and exchange friendship bands and celebrate the day.

Childhood is full of innocence & simplicity and friendships were pure and sweet, nothing more nothing less.

Funny how exchanging a band was something like a pact that our friendship will be the same over the years and we won’t change with time.

As a kid, I used to have so many friends… I remember my close friends.. we used to share our lunch boxes, favorite pencils, and play silly games…I remember their habits, their faces, and their names.

That time, mobiles or telephones were not so common, so we didn’t get a chance to exchange our numbers, sadly.. we lost contact over time.

I wonder where they are and what they do nowadays… Do they even remember me… (Only if they have a good memory like me ๐Ÿ˜›).

Childhood memories are timeless treasures of the heart.

Sometimes nostalgia hits hard, makes me happy and sad at the same time.

Well, I am glad that I have something to remember that makes me smile and my childhood was full of fun and moments to remember today that makes me feel nostalgic and wants to go back and experience those things again.. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

How was your childhood? Do you used to celebrate friendship day in a special way? Does it make you smile when you think about it?

Please share in the comments…๐Ÿฅฐ

Keep smiling ๐Ÿ˜‹

Stay blessed ๐ŸŒผ

  5. I hear you. I made the best friends during college and blessed so many are around. It does make me sad remembering the happy moments. Happy Friendship Day

  6. Yes. The number of bands decided how social you are. ๐Ÿ˜€
I hated all this then and now. Though it is a choice how one wants to convey his love for friendship.
